About us:

The position in PMMB team in charge of Fasteners offers you an opportunity to develop procurement skills in a motivating, challenging, innovating and creative technical context.

You will develop end to end business solutions directly influencing Airbus cost, revenues (Aftermarket) & EBIT contribution, looking at the big picture for your perimeter.

What you will doing:

You will collaborate with suppliers based all over the world to accelerate innovations bringing value and differentiation to our customers.

Accountabilities
You will be responsible for the management of contracts throughout the full life cycle of the products.
You will enforce compliance between contracts terms & conditions and the activities conducted by the supplier and by Airbus.
You will commit the Company by achieving the signature of contractual agreements.
You will manage the alignment across the different Company functions (mainly Programs, Supply Chain, Engineering and Customer Services) for purchased products
You will ensure professional and trusting supplier relationship management with major aeronautical industry players and uphold the Company ethics and compliance standards in all your dealings. In this frame, you will have a role of Key account Manager
You will contribute to maintain PMMB data management up to date and support associated improvements through digital transformation.
You will be accountable to deliver MFT projects on Time, Cost and Quality either defined under his leadership in the MFT or by delegation from the MFT leader (PMMB)
Scope
Operating Budget of PMMB (financial terms)
Direct 350M$ based on 2019 contractual obligations
Indirect 150M$ based on 2019 contractual obligations
Other dimensions relevant to the commodity: Supplier base > 15 suppliers/distributors worldwide
You will have a large number of interfaces including major multi-national suppliers and Airbus aircraft programs, Supply Chain, Design Offices, Customer Services, Quality, Finance, Costing and Legal teams.
The location is Toulouse in France, with travels both nationally & internationally mainly for supplier meetings

Main activities
Market management

Define & implement the market strategies for suppliers’ portfolio on the fasteners market segment, based on current supplier panel, technological intelligence, benchmark suppliers of other OEM Boeing, Comac, Embraer etc.
Manage sourcing activity, NSPI request, RFP-RFI / call for tender, selection report and ensure best supply conditions for Airbus,
Coordinates cost optimization activities with other functions: redesign to cost, standardization, resourcing…
Manage / supervise Transfer of Work (ToW) activities until G5.
Supplier Management

Ensure suppliers’ financial health is checked and actions taken as appropriate.
Negotiate contract & contract amendments with suppliers.
Manage suppliers’ contract, including claims, contractual review meetings, and definition of continuous improvement targets (commercial competitiveness, quality and delivery performance…).
Anticipate end of contract and end of price validity by retendering.
Ensure accuracy of commercial T&C in Airbus systems (SAP update…)
Prepare strategic alignment meetings between major suppliers & Airbus management.
Gather & promote best innovative solutions from suppliers.
Extended enterprise (New Co & RSP)

Ensure that Airbus tiers, subject to positive business case, can be enabled to Airbus contract using the Enablement process.
Identify & implement synergies within Airbus Group: harmonised strategy and supplier panel at group level, joint procurement initiatives.
MFT Projects:

Manage projects in the framework of the MFT (project planning, reporting to MFT leader Manager, financial adherence)
Contribute to company cost improvement programs (X-Programme RC convergence) by identifying opportunities, establishing roadmap, coordinating activities, negotiating commercial agreement with the contributions of the impacted programs and functions
In the frame of MFT, manages risk related to suppliers (financial, strategy, monopoly...) and define appropriate mitigation actions

Contracts, Contract amendments & Contract validation forms,
Parts delivered on time, on quality and on cost in your perimeter.

Profile description

About You:

Competences
If you are able to demonstrate enough of the following skills or experience and you would like to develop the others do not hesitate to apply.

Hard skills:

  • 5-year degree level in Engineering or Business school.
  • Experience in Engineering, Programmes, Procurement Operations or Customer Support with efficient project management is a plus.
  • Experience in supplier relationship Management and Procurement, or other equivalent experience in managing outside stakeholder.
  • Negotiation level of English is required

Organisation structure
Job holder reports functionally to the Head of PMMB and operationally to the sub commodity leader
