Tätigkeitsbeschreibung:
Your Opportunity
At Airbus, our purpose is to “pioneer sustainable aviation for a safe & united world”. To achieve this - among others - we have launched the Digital Design, Manufacturing & Services (DDMS) project. DDMS is a digital-first approach to the way aerospace products are designed, manufactured and operated. At Airbus, our DDMS programme focuses on digital methods and tools for end-to-end business processes that ensure we can reduce costs and time to market for our products, while meeting our customers’ expectations for quality, safety and environmental performance.
As a member of the mass properties domain, you will join a team of highly motivated and skilled people who are involved in overall aircraft mass data management and the understanding of mass properties (mass, centre of gravity, inertia) and their impact on the overall aircraft lifecycle. We also contribute to mass monitoring and reporting at the various stages of aircraft life through mass estimations, calculations and validation of mass by weighings. We deliver mass models for loads analysis, we perform trade studies, support marketing to prepare customer guarantees and aircraft deliveries. We are also responsible for load-ability and the weight & balance for all aircraft programs.
We are looking for a talented candidate who can reinforce our team by bringing your experience in the field of digitalization, programming and MBSE (Model Based System Engineering) combined with the willingness to learn and to understand our engineering requirements and the ability to bring both together. To achieve this you will grow into our business by performing various tasks on different aircraft projects. You will be a contributor to the DDMS programme with the objective of securing Mass Properties digital continuity End-to-End from feasibility analysis to final development phases, manufacturing and in-service. A MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) approach shall enable a better consistency along the development process where Mass Properties are a major contributor to the product success.
Your Main Responsibilities
Define and develop the required processes and capabilities for the integration of mass properties into the Next Generation Aircraft (A/C) development. For that purpose you should understand the principles of Model Based Systems Engineering as well as the Validation and Verification process. A key need is the generation of consistent models representing the relevant requirements, configuration and design status for Mass Properties
Propose, develop and demonstrate innovative solutions for the interface of A/C weight management, mass estimation and the future Sizing process for Overall Aircraft Design. Challenge existing ways of working and at the same time understand and respect the needs of the customer and other disciplines
Actively collaborate with the members of the multifunctional DDMS Team and understand the project context and requirements
Interact with a large community of interfaces such as multifunctional DDMS team, Flight Physics (in particular the Loads and Aeroelastics domain), Design Office and Emerging Competences Network
Who We Are Looking For
Because DDMS is preparing the future of our company, we look for a highly skilled, motivated and passionate colleague, able to bring his energy and expertise into the Airbus Engineering universe.
As such :
You have a bachelor, master degree or PhD in aeronautical engineering, technical computer science, technical mathematics or equivalent
You are a digital enthusiast with various programming skills and knowledge in cloud computing, artificial intelligence and database applications
You have knowledge in MBSE (Model Based System Engineering)
You have at least basic competencies in Research and Technology
You have the willingness to learn and develop yourself to become Mass Properties - Flight Physics Engineer
Personally:
You are a highly engaged person with a great sense of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity and the ability to manage complex topics
You show strong relationship building, communication, interpersonal and networking skills
Your English is at negotiating level, additional language skills (especially German) are considered a plus
You’re occasionally flexible in working time and travel within Europe according to operational needs
Great if you bring some of the following skills, but not a must have:
You have had an introduction to SysML and the usage of Cameo Systems Modeler
First knowledge of CATIA and PDM-Tools and / or 3DX
First experience in project management
Our offer to you
You are working in a transnational environment in self-empowered working groups with a home base at Bremen. The empowered working group is supporting you in your learning and in your development to a multi-skilled Mass Properties Engineer
You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment where your proven experience, expertise and knowledge directly impacts day-to-day business operations
You will benefit from joining an international team where your expertise will grow by the day and will be supported with professional training
The Airbus DDMS programme is growing. If you have the passion, ambition, energy and competence to make a step change in this transformation - we want you! Your dream job starts here! Come and join Our team!
