A vacancy for a "FCAS Services: ILS / ISS Project Management Officer for NGWS " (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join "System Support Center Combat Aircraft - Operations and Projects".

The System Support Center Combat Aircraft, located in Manching, provides technical and logistic support for various flying weapon systems. The responsibilities of the System Support Center Combat Aircraft comprise, amongst others, the continuous customer support for all technical requests from flight operations, the comprehensive customer consulting, the software maintenance and -change and the responsibility for the coordination and realization of national changes to the Eurofighter’s hard- and software for the German customer.
The “Operations & Projects” department is responsible for the project management of all Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and In-Service Support (ISS) activities for the weapon systems Eurofighter, Tornado, AWACS, C-160, P-3C and New Programmes.

 

Position:
We are looking for an ILS/ISS project management professional who is looking for an exciting new challenge in the FCAS environment.


 

Tasks and responsibilities:
Your main tasks and responsibilities in the FCAS Services team will be:

  • Coordination of all Services CoC activities for one or more pillars / one or more contracts within a Pillar of FCAS
  • Coordination of CoC activities for FCAS Services campaigns/bids ensuring the fulfillment of contractual obligations on cost, in time, in configuration and on quality.
  • Alignment and coordination of all ILS management tasks and deliverables with internal and external stakeholder (ILS SP, ILS FDH, Engineering, Quality, PMO, Production, MSCs, Sub-Suppliers, etc.)
  • Participation to & preparation of internal and external meetings
  • Support Programme requested schedule and timeline tasks
  • Prepare & release ILS related deliverables during the Programme execution
  • Risk Mgmt / Tracking / Planning within ILS diciplines and Programme
  • Support and ensure coordination of ILS related PMT tasks
  • Support the Design to Service ambition
  • Support planning, verification and release of Programme budget and OP planning
  • Manage supplier Request for Proposals

Profile description

Required skills:

  • Master degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project / programme management function
  • 10 and more years of experience in (military) aviation business
  • Understanding of Airbus DS portfolio having worked in various (military) programmes (UAS, Tornado, Eurofighter, A400M, …)
  • Profound knowledge of ILS/ISS processes
  • Know-how in (current) AD IT projects, such as ERP roadmap and/or DDMS is highly desirable
  • Innovative and disruptive mind-set and vision to propose and implement agile solutions and challenge the traditional ways of working
  • Team worker with international openness (experience in international project mgmt)
  • Flexibility (work in evolving and changing environment)
  • German and English at negotiation level
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Customer and goal orientated way of working
  • Military background (at leadership level) is a plus
